Puppeteer Shroud was Sunny's first armor type memory. He earned it within his First Nightmare by killing the Mountain King. The armor was used primarily in the Forgotten Shore, saving Sunny in many situations thanks to its durability and other enchantments.

The first holder of the memory was Sunless, who later gifted the modified version to his disciple Rain for slaying an Awakened Tyrant.

History

The memory was obtained by killing the Awakened Tyrant known as the Mountain King within the First Nightmare.^[3]

When facing the Carapace Scavenger, the Puppeteer Shroud augmented by Sunny’s shadow allowed him to survive attacks that would normally kill him.^[5]

During his stay at the Ashen Barrow, Sunny fell victim to the mind attack of the Soul Devourer Tree. Thanks to the [Doubtless] enchantment, he was slightly less susceptible to the mind attack and was able to figure out a way to escape with Nephis and Cassie.^[6]

Thanks to the boots of the Puppeteer Shroud, which were made of tough leather, Sunny’s foot was protected from the Awakened Monster, Rolling Stone. Sunny notes that if he hadn’t had the armor, the Nightmare Creature would have bitten his leg clean off.^[7]
